Goshen Virginia is a favorite area in Western Virginia where I like to seek out places to paint. Goshen is a valley with beautiful farm lands and is surrounded by mountains. During the summer most of its fields are occupied with crops and the mountains beyond enveloped with humidity that offer interesting views to paint. This large painting was created as a competition piece for the annual Bath County art competition. It won the William Grover award for best Traditional painting.
